Rottnest Island paradise

This little paradise is located around 18 km west of Perth. It's around 10 km long and 3.5 km wide. Rottnest Island is very popular and thousands of people visit the island every week. Dive operators in Perth and Fremantle organise day trips, but it also possible to stay a bit longer and do some more scuba diving. Rottnest Island has quite a lot dive sites which are easy to reach. Rottnest Island is furthermore famous for the Quokka (small marsupial) that's living there.

Cape Vlaming

Cape Vlaming is a great place for scuba diving because if the caves and gutters you can find in the wall of the reef. This reef drops to around 26 meters. With a flashlight you can see the beautiful corals and sponges that grow on the wall and in the caves of the drop off. There are lot's of animals living in the caves like shrimp, rock lobsters, wobbegongs, blue devilfish and cuttlefish. On the reef you'll find even more species like leatherjackets, cod and morwong.
