Exmouth is the place to be if you want to go scuba diving on beautiful Ningaloo Reef. The Ningaloo Marine park is almost 260 km long and starts around Amherst Point near Coral Bay and stretches all the way to Bundegi Reef near Exmouth. It's around 5.000 square km and houses 220 species of coral and approximately 500 species of fish.
Every year from March up until May the largest fish in the world, the whale shark, visit the waters of Ningaloo Marine park. When it's whale-shark-season you'll see a few spotter planes flying over the marine park. They report the locations of the whale sharks to the boats below them. When the spotter plane finds a whale shark, the fun begins. It's an absolutely incredible experience to swim with these giant fish. It's definitely something you won't forget.

Blizzard Ridge

Blizzard Ridge is located on the west side of the North West Cape. This dive site is approximately only 15 meters deep, but it's an excellent site. The bottom is covered with colourful soft corals, gorgonian fans and sponges. On the sandy patches between the corals you can find wobbegongs hiding. Other fish you are likely to see are lionfish, stingrays, gropers and even the occasional sea snake.

Navy Pier

The navy pier is one of the most fantastic dive sites in Exmouth. To get there you have to get onto the terrain of the Harold E. Holt Naval Communication centre. Every year one dive company in Exmouth gets the chance to take people scuba diving on the navy pier. It's actually on American soil, so you have to bring your passport and there are several checks before you're allowed access to the pier itself. Once you're there you'll see the magnificent beauty of this location. The species you'll see there are nudibranchs, flatworms, octopi, wobbegongs, parrotfish, all kinds of butterflyfish, batfish and angelfish, lionfish, boxfish, moray eels and many more. The maximum depth under the pier is 17 meters deep and this site can only be dived at low or high tide because of the currents. This is a very special place to go scuba diving and an adventure you won't forget easily.
