Diving Darwin
The best time of year to go scuba diving in Darwin is during the winter. The visibility is better than in summer and the sea is calm. During the summer cyclones may affect diving and box jellyfish are in the area then. It's advised to always wear a wetsuit or lycra suit, boots, gloves and a hood, because the box jellyfish are the biggest threat to scuba divers.
Because of the huge tides and the visibility, scuba diving in Darwin always happens with less ideal conditions. You'd be happy with a few meters visibility.
