Traditional Buoyancy Compensators
In comparison with a Wing BCD, where the air pocket is solely on the back of the jacket, a normal buoyancy control device also has air pockets on the sides of the vest.
Besides the fact that a BCD will give you control over your buoyancy, it does also provide the following:
- Integrated weight system
- Back plate for fitting the air tank
- Pull dump for quickly releasing air
- Metal D rings for hooking up accessories
