Dive equipment

Scuba divers need a lot of gear to be able to make a dive. At least the following items are meant to be standard, when scuba diving. In Queensland it is also mandatory to have a cutting implement and a safety sausage. This can be different in other states in Australia.

• Suit - drysuit or wetsuit
• BCD
• Regulator
• Dive computer
• Mask
• Fins
• Boots
• Weight System
• Cylinder

The list above is a very small list of really necessary items. More items can be added of course. For example if you like under water photography, a (digital) camera and waterproof case is necessary. Same for under water video. Below is a list of items which can be used under water:

• Gloves
• Hood
• Torch
• Underwater camera with housing
• Underwater video camera with housing
• Notepad with pencil
• Dive flag
• Surface Marker Buoy
• Reel or Spool
• Knife
